Overview

Germany's EC Sense's DS4 smart gas sensor uses reliable printed solid-state polymer electrochemical sensor technology and is an industrial-grade smart gas sensor.

Features

Standard industrial sizes

Standard industrial 4 series size design, 20 x 16.6mm cylindrical shell, users can easily carry out iterative design of new products, suitable for fixed gas detectors and portable detection instruments, saving shell design costs caused by new product upgrades. Standard three-electrode pin size (VCC_power supply positive, GND_power supply negative, IO_data transceiver).

No need to preheat for use

Intelligent hardware design allows the gas sensor to still work even when there is no power supply, ensuring that gas monitoring can be carried out immediately after powering on anytime and anywhere. In IoT applications or battery applications, when designing for energy saving and low power consumption, There is no need to worry about the long waiting time for warm-up and slow data acquisition.

Low power sleep function

The sensor has a sleep function, and users can customize the sleep and wake-up modes, which is suitable for low-power battery or IoT applications.

Easy-to-use UART digital output

The DS4 sensor uses UART 3.3V half-duplex single bus mode output signal, which directly outputs gas concentration values without complicated communication protocols, making secondary development application design flexible, simple and fast.

Accurate factory pre-calibration

Each DS4 smart gas sensor has undergone professional gas calibration at the factory. The calibration information is stored in the product's internal chip. Users can use it directly without re-ventilation and calibration. The factory calibration uses diffusion gas calibration and simulated environmental climate calibration methods to be closer to the real application environment at the user site, which improves the accuracy of the gas detection instrument using diffusion measurement data (when the gas detection instrument uses the pump suction measurement method When, a second calibration is required based on the design parameters of the instrument system)

Applications

· Industrial Safety               · Leakage            · Process Monitoring              · Industrial Emissions Monitoring             · Parking Facilities Air Monitoring

Small and compact structure design, using high-performance microprocessor, equipped with high-precision analog-to-digital converter, and intelligent algorithm design, can be easily integrated into the Internet of Things and other monitoring systems, and is widely used in industry, commerce, civil and medical applications field.

User-defined encryption code function

Self-identification function

Users can customize their own user codes for unique identification of the instrument. When inserting other types, the meter can automatically check whether the user code is correct. If it is incorrect, the meter can display an error prompt to remind the user to insert the correct sensor.

Easy maintenance

The DS4 sensor outputs identity information, such as gas type, detection range, etc., which facilitates the design of self-identification functions and makes use more flexible.

Life and performance testing

Plug and play, hot-swappable, open calibration protocol, supports secondary offline calibration in after-sales service, and one-click restoration of factory calibration design. Plug and play realizes offline calibration. There is no need to bring hazardous gases into the detection environment for ventilation calibration of the instrument, which avoids safety risks and pollution to the on-site environment, making maintenance safer, more convenient and simpler.

Smart gas sensor performance and life self-testing, whether in the presence of measured gas or not, regularly performs self-testing of life and performance indicators, and outputs warning signals to prompt sensor maintenance or sensor replacement. This function provides reliable basic data for intelligent instrument design, allowing gas detection instruments to have excellent safety, reliability, and remote maintenance. Users can obtain fault information about normal operation of the sensor, weak sensor performance, or sensor failure or detachment through instructions, which provides users with early warning of sensor anomalies and greatly improves safety.
